Successful people look to the future and leave the past behind. Our brains are creating new pathways everyday. This means that it is impossible to go back to the past. When you focus on the future and positive thoughts you are building positive connections in your brain. Your daily reality is a direct reflection of your vision of the future.
This is why any positive life change begins with looking to the future and not behind you. Successful people build and focus on clear visions of the future they desire. Unsuccessful people continually build and focus on memories of what they did not do and therefore create these negative pathways.
What we see is only a reflection of light. So when you see something this is your brain interpreting the reflection of light and creating an image of what you see at that moment. Let's look at sports psychology for a moment. One of the exercises that many great athletes do is visualize them playing the perfect game. The muscles in your body still twitch the same as if that athlete is actually playing. So what they are visualizing in their mind helps them to create in the future.
We can use this in our everyday life to create the future that we want for the future. Suppose you want to move up in your position. You need to visualize this as reality. What would you do everyday? How would you feel? What would it look like? Really get a picture of this in your minds eye. As you are doing this your mind is creating the connections just as if you have this position. The key is to repeat this process so that it becomes long term memory. Creating positive long term memories by visualization can create the synaptic connections that will create positive connections.
When we leave the negative behind these connections in our brain are lost. How many times has someone said to you remember when.... and you don't remember. We loose this long term memory. You can loose all the negative past memories and create new positive connections by visualizing the future that you want.
All you have to do is get the picture.......
