Sunday is a great time for reflecting on the past week. Self Reflection is a time for us to sit back
and reflect on the past. We can take stock
of the events, people and emotions that drove us the previous week. This is an
important part of growing and expanding our knowledge. If you take the time to look at the past and
learn from it the act of reflection can help you to obtain your goals now and
in the future.
How can we do this productively so that this helps us to
grow into a better person in our business and personal lives? We want to look at three things that occurred
events, people and emotions in the past.
Once we do this we need to examine and reflect learning from the mistakes
and growing with the triumphs.
1. Who were
the people that were in our lives last week? – Think back on the people that
were in your life last week and reflect on these interactions. Were they positive or negative? Where there lessons to be learned from these
interactions?
2.
Where their significant influencers/positive
people in my life last week? - When reflecting on the positive influencers what
did they teach you? How can you learn
from these interactions?
3.
Where there conflicted or negative people? –
Take a look at the negative influences and reflect on how you can learn from
these interactions. How could you
approach these people differently etc…?
4.
What happened last week? – Look back on the
events of last week. What were the
positive events and the negative events?
5.
Reflect on the positive events - Reflect on the
positive events. Give yourself a pat on
the back for all your victories and accomplishments. Now think about how you can create more
positive events in the week to come.
6. How do we decrease the negative events? – Take a good hard look at the negative events that happen last week. What did you learn from these events? How can you change these in the future to create more positive events? What did you learn?
7. What was I feeling last week? - Now reflect on all of the emotions that you felt last week. What were the good emotions? What were that negative emotions?
8.
How can I create more of these good feeling –
Think about the positive emotions. How
can you create more of these positive emotions this week?
9.
How can I decrease the negative emotions? –
Reflect on the negative emotions such as stress, anger, frustration. Now ask yourself what you can do to decrease
these for the coming week. How can you
approach things, people, and events to move these negative emotions to positive
emotions?
10.
Last but not least leave the past behind and
take the lessons learned to move forward in a positive state of mind
Learning from the past is essential for us to grow and
expand our knowledge. The important thing
to remember is how to use the past for growth and move on. Learn from the past, Live in the present and
Plan for the future.
